Welcome to the "Search Help" page for PACA Search Engine. The search automatically defaults to the Partial Word Search if no selection is made. This page provides you with search tips to help make your search more efficient.   The available methods of search are:

            To Find:            Search method selected:
The James Smith Fruit and Vegetable Company Partial Word Search: Search is done for the word(s) appearing in the beginning of the phrase. If the first word is "The", it must be included. This will be implemented for “Business Name” and “Branch Name or Trade Name”. Sample Scenario: If “The James” is typed in the search criteria, the company name "The James Smith Fruit and Vegetable Company” should show. This search does not apply to "License Number".
The James Smith Fruit and Vegetable Company Key Word Search: Search is done for the key word appearing anywhere in the phrase. This will be implemented for “Business Name” and “Branch Name or Trade Name”. Sample Scenario: If “Smith” is typed in the search criteria, the company name "The James Smith Fruit and Vegetable Company” should show. This search does not apply to "License Number".

Specialized Search: Search is done for multiple key words appearing in the phrase. The words will be separated using "%" without any spaces. This will be implemented for “Business Name” and “Branch Name or Trade Name”. Sample Scenario: If “Smith%Vegetable%Company” is typed in the search criteria, any name with those words (in that order) will show up. For example, in this case the company name "The James Smith Fruit and Vegetable Company” should show. This search does not apply to "License Number".
License Number Exact Value Search: Search is done for the exact number sequence entered. This search method will be performed for “License Number” only. 

Note:  

Results will include only those names containing all of the search words. Searching for a word that is not part of the name will result in no matching records. For sole proprietors, use Full Word Search on the owner's last name.

Choose distinctive words in the name for the best results. The result list may contain more names than the one you are searching for. Simply click the name you want from the list. 

Avoid searching for common words by themselves and without other accompanying text. The common words you want to avoid as the only search criteria are: "Incorporated", "Corp", "Corporation", "Inc", etc.
