Milk Marketing Order Statistics
Public Database - Table Descriptions
The Federal milk order statistics public database currently consists of several
tables. Listed below are the names of these tables and the information you
will find in each. For a description of the specific fields (data items)
included in these tables, see
Definitions/Glossary.
Announced Coop Class I Price
This table contains the following monthly information for selected cities in Federal milk order marketing areas: the Federal milk order Class I price; the announced cooperative Class I price; and the difference between these two prices.

Census
This table contains annual information for each Federal milk order showing, by State and county, the decennial population and the estimated population in non-Census years. The Census column has data only in the year of the Census. The Census Update column has data for all years. The Census Update figures are those that are the first issued for that year.

Federal Order
This table contains reference information for each Federal milk order showing the order's number, name, and principal pricing point location.

In Area Sales Of Fluid Milk
This table contains monthly information for each Federal milk order showing by fluid milk product the volume of product and butterfat pounds sold in the order's marketing area.

MA Prices
This table contains monthly price information that is different for each Federal milk order. For the principal pricing point of the order, the following is shown: the Class I milk and component prices; the uniform milk and component prices, as applicable; and the producer price differential, as applicable.

Market Prices
This table contains monthly price information that is the same for all Federal milk orders. Included are: Class I base milk and component prices; Class II, III, and IV milk and component prices; producer component prices; advanced pricing factors; product price averages used in price formulas; and price announcement dates.

NASS Weekly Prices
This table contains the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) weekly product price information used to calculate the product price averages for Federal milk order price formulas. The information is shown by month and by price type.

Pool Totals
This table contains monthly information on the volume and utilization of raw milk received by handlers regulated under Federal milk orders from dairy farmers. The information shown by order is: the number of producers; the total volume of milk and milk components received; the utilization of milk and milk components by class; and the somatic cell count of total milk receipts.

Retail Prices
This table contains monthly retail milk price information for selected cities located in Federal milk order marketing areas. Information is shown for gallons of whole milk and reduced-fat (2%) milk, by type of food store.

State County City
This table contains reference information for each State, county, and city in the continental U.S. Included are the applicable Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Code, the Federal milk order in which the county/city is located, and the Federal milk order Class I price for the county/city.
